FEBRUARY 20, 1919 since been ascertained that the Lock Gate in question was considerably -damaged on this occasion. 1930T Sergt.-Mech. Ernest James William Watkinson. (France.)—This iioii-commissioned officer has over 100 hours' war flying to his credit, and has taken part in 60 bombing raids. He has destroyed one hostile aeroplane, and has proved himself an exceptionally skilful and courageous bomber, notably on October io, when, flying at a height of about 1,000 ft. under heavy fire from the ground, he directed his bombs with such accuracy that one hit the rolling stock in the station and another bit the transport on the road.
