JUNE 23, 1927 ",Fn ;HT " Photographs THE IMPROMPTU SAFETY DEMONSTRATION : The upper photograph shows the Hawker " Horsley "taking off from Cranwell aerodrome. In the centre is depicted the historic moment when Flight-Lieut. Carr landed the machine wTthoutStraining a single thing. Note the little puff of dust where the wheels urst torched,and also that the"Lding wal a '"hree-point " one. The lower photograph shows the machine at Martlesham just after landing It is quite obvious that the machine is intact, even to its Palmer tyres. 407 C
