Miss O'Brien was second on her D.H. " Moth " " OS " (allowance. 11 mins. 27 sees, at 83J m.p.h.), and thirdplace went to Mr. Turnbull on D.H. " Moth " " QV " (allow- ance, 9 mins. 5 sees.) at 94 m.p.h. in 19 mins. 10 sees. Twolaps of the course were covered and on the first lap the competitors were in the order in which they finished. Thewinning D.H. " Moth " is the Midland Club machine, which has now been more or less running for over threeyears. [" FLIGHT " Photograph Mr. Norman Jones starting up his D.H. Oliver was second on Miss Leath-art's Sopwith " Grasshopper " (allowance, 12 mins 28 sees.) at 80J m.p.h. in 22 mins. 19 sees. Mr. Parkinson was thirdon D.H. " Moth " " PT " (allowance, 8 mins. 42 sees.) at 93J m.p.h. in 19 mins. 19 sees.
