Forbes to Aircraft Depot, India, 20.10.28.. <$> <$> AIR MINISTRY NOTICES TO AIRMEN Index 20th October, 1928 IT is notified that the Index dated April 14, 1928, is cancelled and a new one, which can be obtained at the Air Ministry, substituted therefor :— This enumerates the Notices to Airmen cancelled. This list includes :— (a) Notices which are cancelled through incorporation in the Air Pilot or Air Pilot Monthly Supplements (indicated by an asterisk, thus*). (b) Notices notified as cancelled previously or which need no longer be •retained. Note.—Among the Notices in class (6) are certain Notices which were issued to call attention to Orders-in-Council. The cancellation of such Notices in no way affects the Orders in force. Operative Notices remaining operative until further Notice are also given. To facilitate reference, an indication of the principal contents of a Notice is given if this is not made clear by the title. If part of a Notice has been cancelled this also is indicated. NOTICE TO GROUND ENGINEERS D.H.6 Aircraft: Essential Modifications 1. The modifications described herein must be satisfactorily incorporated in all existing D.H.6 aircraft before any such aircraft is submitted f r re-inspection for renewal of the certificate of airworthiness. 2. A fireproof bulkhead must be fitted to insulate the engine bay from the rest of the aircraft, and, in addition, adequate protection must be provided for the underside of the fuselage. 3. Some means must be provided to lead all waste petrol and oil clear of the fuselage. 4. No certificate of airworthiness will be issued or renewed in respect of any D.H.6 aircraft unless the above-mentioned modifications have been satisfactorily incorporated.
