G. Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft Limited. Four other Aircraft Manufacturers are building similar aircraft under; licence from Sir W. G. Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft Limited. Armstrong Whitworth steel aeroplanes were the first steel aircraft to be j used in quantity and manufactured in series. They have been standardised as the single seater fighters of the Royal] Air Force and have been in production for over six years.
