FLIGHT, OCTOBER 11, 1929 WRONG SIDDELE Sir Alan Cobham's Great Test of the GEARED JAGUAR NEARLY 4,000 FULL THROTTLE TAKE-OFFS were made by Sir Alan Cobham's Jaguar-engined Giant Moth in the course of its five months' tour of Great Britain. Although pulling a load of 3J tons, the 460-510 h.p. Geared Jaguar ran without a falter throughout this great test and so proved conclusively that for heavy and continuous duty it has no equal in the world.
