SEPTEMBER 28, 1933 ADVERTISEMENTS. FLIGHT SPARTAN The illustrations herewith show the first of a number of SPARTAN " CRUISER" aeroplanes constructed for the SOCIETE de NAVIGATION AERIENNE "AEROPUT" of BELGRADE. THIS famous Yugo-Slavian Air Line placed their order after a detailed consideration of all the present types of aircraft which are available. Despite keen British and Continental com petition, the contract was secured by Spartan Aircraft Ltd. The "Cruiser" machine was chosen because of its extremely robust construction, its good all round performance, and the great safety factor ofits 3-engined installation. THE makers were able to guarantee and demonstrate the ease with which the "Cruiser" at full load (5,700 lbs.) would maintain height and perform all normal flying evolutions at over 6,000ft. en any of its two engines.
