His Majesty the King has been graciously pleased to approve of theGeneral Service Medal (having on the obverse His Majesty's new Crowned „. ,_ng with the Iraqi forces who participa— .. ._Shaikh Ahmed of Barzan in Northern Kurdistan between March 15 and June 21, 1932, both dates inclusive, and within the area named below, andwhose claims are approved by the Air Council or the Army Council, as the case may be. The area of operations, service within which will entitle to the medal, hasbeen denned as Diana-Erbil-Aqra-Suri (junction of Shemsdinan and Greater Zab Rivers)—due north to Turkish Frontier—along Turkish Frontier to apoint due north of Diana—Diana (all places inclusive). Individuals previously awarded the medal will receive the clasp only.The grant of the medal will not be made in respect of visits to the sphere of operations or of service of a temporary nature.Claims of serving R.A.F. personnel are to be forwarded, through C.Os. ot units, to the Air Ministry.Officers and airmen no longer serving should forward their claims to the Secretary, Air Ministry, Adastral House, Kingsway, London, W.C.2.
