NOTABLE MODERN AIRCRAFT FITTED WITH AIRCOOLED ENGINES :•- THE "SARO" A.27 FLYING BOAT The successful completion of arduous and protracted Service and acceptance trials by the Saunders-Roe " Saro " A.27 flying boat, fitted with " Bristol" Pegasus III medium supercharged engines designed to run on D.T.D.230 (87 octane) fuel, has resulted in its adoption for the Royal Air Force.
