"299V on Order? A report from Washington states that the U.S. War Department has decided to order thirteen Boeing 299 bombers. An additional order has been placed for ninety bombers of unspecified type, but which are probably Martins or Douglases, costing £14.440 each. Each Boeing will come out at rather more than £50,000. Wapiti and Moth to the Rescue The Royal Research Ship Discovery 11, which is to assist in the search for Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth and his companion, who were forced down on their flight across Antarctica on November 23, is carrying a Westland Wapiti and a D.H. Moth provided by the Australian Govern ment. Twenty-jive Years Ago (From " Flight " of December 31, 1910.)
