The Royal Air Force Reserve affords to young men of good education and pood physique an opportunity of learning to fly at no cost to them selves. Previous flying experience is not essential, but applicants who do not bold the civil pilot's A licence and who have not completed 25 hours* flying must attend for training for approximately 0 weeks in the first year. With this exception, training occupies approximately 3 ^eeks a year. Applicants must have reached the age of IS but must not have reached the age of 25. Applications are invited for short service commissions in the General Duties Branch (Flying) Candidates must be at least 17f and under 25 years of age and have attained a standard of education equivalent to the School Certificate. They must be unmarried and of good physique. No previous flying experience is necessary. Appointments are for four years on the active list followed by six years' reserve service.
