Public Appointments ROYAL AIR FORCE RESERVE (PILOTS) The Royal Air Force Reserve affords to young men of good education and good physique an opportunity of learning to fly at no cost to them selves. Previous flying experience is not essential, but applicants who do not hold the civil pilot's A licence and who have not completed 25 hours' flying must attend for training for approximately 9 weeks in the first year. With this exception, training occupies approximately 3 weeks a year. Applicants must have reached the age of 18, but must not have reached the age of 25. There remain a few vacancies on courses com mencing in April next, for candidates without previous flying experience, for which immediate application is necessary. Other courses will commence later in the year. Holders of A licences who have completed 25 hours' flying will be considered provided they have not reached the age of 28.
