H FLIGHT. ADVERTISEMENTS. MAY 14, 1936, MRS. ANOTHER GIPSY RECORD • By flying from London to Cape Town in 3 days 6 hours 26 mins. on a Percival Gull built by the Percival Aircraft Company and powered by a 200 h.p. GIPSY-SIX engine Mrs. Amy Mollison again lowered by over eleven hours the record for the route. Mrs. Mollison herself held the record from November, 1932, until February, 1936, when Mr. Tommy Rose reduced the time to 3 days 17 hours 37 minutes. All three records were made on aircraft powered by GIPSY ENGINES —sheer reliability. AMY MOLLISON cabled faith in "My absolute GIPSY engine completely again justified."
