The Royal Air Force Reserve affords to young men of good education and good physique an opportunity of learning to fly at no cost to them selves. Previous flying experience is not essential, but applicants who do not hold the civil pilot's A licence and who have not completed 25 hours* flying must attend for training for approximately 9 weeks in the first year. With this exception, training occupies approximately 3 weeks a year. Applicants must have reached the age of 18 but must not have reached the age of 25. Holders of A licences who have completed 25 hours' flying will be considered provided they have not reached the age of 28. There are vacancies for courses commencing in August next for candidates without previous flying experience, and candidates who would be able to commence training at that time should apply without delay.
