The film, which is on 16mm. (silent) stock, and is self contained, is of considerable technical interest, including as it does the working of the largest high frequency electric furnace in the world, and the operation of the extremely severe " D.I.A.M.E.T." Code of control of manufacture and inspection. Samuel Fox & Co. Ltd. have devised a quantitative system for measuring the cleanness of steel, and each cast of "DIAMET" Inspected Steel is subjected to rigorous examination by this method in order to ensure that a high standard of cleanness is main tained. The system of measuring this cleanness devised by Mr. G. R. Bolsover, Chief Metallurgist of Samuel Fox & Co. Ltd., is shown in use.
