NOVEMBER 18, 1936. EASY to fly . . ADVERTISEMENTS. FLIGHT, g ECONOMICAL to operate CRUISES AT 110 M.P.H. AT 65% OF RATED POWER. Comfort and economical running are epitomised in the Pobjoy-Short " Scion." The pilot has a clear view in all directions and the cabin seats five passengers in luxurious comfort. An occasional hinged seat to accommodate a sixth may be fitted if required. The "Scion" can be operated at a profit for i/- per aircraft mile flown and when loaded to 60% of its capacity. With full load and at 65 V of rated power it will maintain a cruising speed of no m.p.h. The cabin is fitted with a controllable heating and ventilating system and is electrically lit. Electric engine starters are fitted as standard, and provision is made for the installation of a two-way radio transmitting and receiving set. ALL METAL CONSTRUCTION FABRIC COVERED. The fuselage is very sturdy, the frame being of welded high tensile steel tube fabric covered. The wings are constructed in a light alloy and are fabric covered.' HIGH RETURNS — LOW COST.
