CUM MING, D.F.C., F.R.Met.Soc, A.F.R.Ae.S., Director of Training, Straight-operated flying schools, comes to this post from a distinguished career with Imperial Airways and is one of the few men to hold the supreme rank of Master Pilot. Himself the holder of a 1st Class Navigator's Licence, he is assisted on the navigational side by Mr.W. E. B. GRIFFITHS, F.R.Met.Soc, who holds the 1st Class Navigator's Certificate, and by Captain G. W. FERGUSON, M.C., A.F.C., the author of a well-known navigational handbook. Captain CUMMING commands a staff of 29 highly-qualified instructors and a fleet of 40 aircraft. Daytime and evening courses for the navigational licences are held in London at 17, Manchester Square. Flying and ground training is given at the airport centres of Ramsgate, Ipswich, Exeter, Plymouth or Weston-super-Mare.
