24 FLIGHT. ADVERTISEMENTS. FEBRUARY 2, 1939. MARCONITRACK THE MARCONITRACK Aerodrome Approach Beacon Equipment is pre-eminent amongst "blind" approach systems. Among its advantages are the following :— AERODROME EQUIPMENT 1 Marconi directional transmission which maintains maximum range performance with a fraction of the power otherwise required, thereby reducing considerably both first and upkeep costs. 2 If Marconitrack Marker Beacons are installed at an aerodrome for ZZ approach, a Main beacon can be added at a later date to form a complete " blind " approach system. AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENT 3 The ZZ System of approaching an aerodrome can be used by aircraft fitted with Marconitrack equipment in conjunction with Marker beacons. 10 12 v ' COCKPIT INSTALLATION 4 Receiver operates in conjunction with any ultra-short-wave approach beacon conforming to International Requirements. 5 Minimum of controls. 6 Subdivision of equipment into units thereby facilitating installation in any air craft.
