The notifications in the Gazettes of September 2r, r937, and November 15, 1938, concerning E. Gillespie, D.S.O., Lt. Col. (R.M., RP1.) and Flight Lieutenant, respectively, are cancelled. MAJOR ALEXANDER DE SEYERSKY has been demonstratine his two-seater " convoy " fighter at Martlesham. This machine is of typical Seversky design and, fitted with a Wright Cyclone engine, is claimed to have a top speed of 285 m.p.h. and a range of 3,000 miles, the interior of the wing being used as fuel space. Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve General Duties Branch Rear-Admiral H. A. F'orster, M.V.O., is appointed Honorary Flight Lieutenant with effect from December 13, 1938, and Honorary Wing Commander with effect from January 23, 1939.
