MAJOR ALEXANDER DE SEYERSKY has been demonstratine his two-seater " convoy " fighter at Martlesham. This machine is of typical Seversky design and, fitted with a Wright Cyclone engine, is claimed to have a top speed of 285 m.p.h. and a range of 3,000 miles, the interior of the wing being used as fuel space. Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve General Duties Branch Rear-Admiral H. A. F'orster, M.V.O., is appointed Honorary Flight Lieutenant with effect from December 13, 1938, and Honorary Wing Commander with effect from January 23, 1939.
