FLIGHT. SUPPLEMENT iv. ADVERTISEMENTS- MAY II, 1939. buds itself The Cygnet can literally land itself from a glide. You can make contact m^ with the ground ' hands off' — and ' feet off' too ! This is made possible by the tricycle undercarriage. As soon as any wheel touches down, the Cygnet lands in a stable position on all three. If left to itself it is impossible to 'fly off' or bounce, and the landing range is from 60 io 85 m.p.h. On the ground there is full visibility ahead, and high speeds are possible because of the directional stability given by the tricycle, the front wheel steering and the braking system, Another advanced feature is the fitting of twin fins and rudders, which have a marked effect on stability and make straight flight possible with 'feet off' at any throttle opening, These points make the Cygnet an ideal machine for training purposes. Trials indicate that landings require only a fraction of the skill and that a full ' A ' licence can be obtained in literally half the time, TRICYCLE UNDERCARRIAGE • ENCLOSED CABIN • FULL AEROBATIC 'C of A' • FULL VISIBILIT1 TWIN RUDDERS AND FINS • ALL METAL CONSTRUCTION • SIDE BY SIDE SEATDJC 135/140 H.P.
