DECEMBER 21, 1939 JP OGOTr* 511 Service Aviation Airmen: Application should be addressed to the Officer in Charge Records, Royal Air Force, Ruislip, Middlesex, supported by a full statement of the case, with a medical (or police) certificate. The airman's official number, rank, name and unit (if known) should be quoted. Every endeavour will be made to grant compassionate leave where the circumstances justify it but owing to the exigencies of the Service this will not always be possible.
