PRETTY AND FAST : It is reported from America that the British Air Ministry is displaying more than passing interest in this new Vultee Valiant single-seater fighter which is designed for a Pratt and Whitney Double Wasp engine with extension shaft. With the cockpit and cooling gills closed, and the undercarriage and tail wheel retracted, it is one of the most eyeable of modern single-seaters. Apparently there is an oil cooler beneath the cockpit.
