VACANCIES exist for unestablished appoint-ments as Examiners in the General En- gineering and W/T and Instrument Branches. QUALIFICATIONS. ALL candidates must have good generaleducation, be able to read drawings, under-stand specifications, use micrometers and otticr measuring instruments. / A \ Applicants for the General Engineering\-LJL/ Branch must have had practical ex- perience in an engineering works. An elementaryknowledge of materials testing is desirable. /T>\ Applicants for the Instrument BranchV-D/ must have knowledge of physics and training in light engineering or instrument mak-ing. Candidates with knowledge of optical in- struments are also required.//C| Applicants for the W/T Branch must \Vy/ have practical knowledge of W/T andelectrical equipment with technical training in radio communication equal to City and Guildsfinal examination standard. A LIMITED number of vacancies may occurat a later date for Air Traffic ControlOfficers, Grade III, on a scale of salary of £350 a year, rising by annual increments of £18 to£500 a year. Assistant Air Traffic Control Officers wiio, at the date on which these vacan-cies occur, are below the age of 45 will be eligible to make application for such appoint-ments in competition with other candidates.
