Advertisements. FLIGHT MAY 28TH, 1942 WE ARE PUZZLED. Why, we ask ourselves, do people still use valuable metal for making pipes and tubes, when so frequently plastics could do the job quite as efficiently? Is it because we haven't told our story well enough, and that manufacturers just don't know about the versatility of plastics? If that be so, here is a suggestion. Send us a representative piece of piping or tubing, straight or quiggly, with details of what it's used for. If plastics aren't suitable for the job, obviously we'll say so. If they are, we will produce its counterpart in one of the BX materials, and tell you just how much this alternative saves in time, labour and initial cost. Make your own comparative tests and see if the piping days of plastics don't mean something to you in the way of increased output and reduced production charges.
