If an A.C. machine is sent out on a job, it must be able to look after itself to some degree. Thus we find Curtiss Tomahawks being adapted for photographic reconnaissance, and their batteries of two 0.5m. and four rifle-calibre machine guns should give a good account of themselves if enemy interference is met.
