FLIGHT MAY 27TH, 1943 CHILTON L J JG H T AIRCRAFT PREC N MACHINED PARTS CH I LTO N ^UmAPT - H U ijjj£ ERFQ BERKSHIRE - ENGLAND Further details of this method, information on the process of photographing, particulars of materials and conditions of supply from KODAK LTD., Dept. 52, KODAK HOUSE, KING SWAY, LONDON, W.C.2 PHOTOGRAPHY CAN HELP With the aid of special materials introduced by Kodak Limited, photography can now help to speed up the production of parts and templates in engineering shops. By this method engineering drawings are not scribed on to metal in the usual way, but are photo- graphed on to it, after the metal has been given a sensitised surface by means of ' Kodak ' Transfer Sensitising Paper. The method can be used with wood and plastics as well as metal. There are two main advantages of this method: 1. Saving of time and skilled labour. The hand process may take days or weeks, depending on the complexity of the drawing ; the photographic method may take only a few minutes, and at the most a few- hours, no matter how complex the drawing. 2. The drawing can be reproduced any number erf times without variation. The possibility of variations between finished templates or parts which are intended to be identical is therefore reduced.
