Kobson, who is 52, has been Deputy Director since1942. Formerly Assistant Educational Adviser at the Air Ministry, he has since held appointmentsat the School of Technical Training for Aircraft Apprentices at Halton, and at the Headquarters, of Flying Training Command. Wing Cdr. R. J. A. LESLIE, A.F.C., R.A.F., No. 75 (N.Z.) Sqn.-This officer has par-ticipated in a large number of sorties and has displayed the highest qualities of skill, courageand determination. Since assuming command of (he squadron he has led the formation in numerousattacks on various targets. Throughout, his leader- ship has been inspiring and has played an im-portant part in the success achieved. This officer has rendered most valuable service. Act. Wing Cdt. B. W. MCMILLAN, A.F.C.,R.A.F.O, No. 582 Syn— This officer has set a. line example of skill, courage and devotion toduty in operations sigainst the «nemj. He has participated in a. large number of sorties againststrongly defended targets, including such centres as Berlin, Stuttgart, Stettin, Duisburg and Kiel.In October, 1944, Wing Cdr. McMillan took part in an attack ou Cologne. In spite of considerableanti-aircraft fire, this intrepid pilot remained over the target for many minutes to press home a mostdetermined and successful attack. This officer is a highly efficient flight commander, whose sterlingqualities have impressed all. Act. Wing Cdr. C G MlLSON, D.F.C., R.A.A.F.,No. 455 (R.A.A.F.) Sqn. — Since the award of the D.F.C., Wing Cdr. Milson hascompleted numerous operational missions which have included a number of outstandingattacks in the face of the heaviest opposition. In July and August, 1944, he led formations of air-craft to attad: several strongly escorted enemy convoys and, despite adverse iwather and heavydefences, .4he attacks caused much damage and destruction. On one occasion his aircraft sus-tained, .• severe damage but, with cool courage and detertiiination, he attacked two vessels and thenflesf safely to base, a distance of 300 miles on one )§ine.
