BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN the Air Training Corps BoxingChampionships which took place at the Albert Hall on, Friday, March 19th,the Southern champions won eleven of the three-round bouts, and the Northernchampions six. The complete results are tabulated below. The Star Silver WingsTrophy, which is awarded to the A.T.C. squadron in the South with the greatestnumber of winners in the Southern finals, goes to No. 1061 (Southwark) squadronthis year, and the equivalent Northern Wings Trophy goes to No. 59 (Hudders-field) Squadron. The Harewood Trophy, which was presented at the Albert Hallby Air Chief Marshal Sir John Slessor, goes to the Welsh Wing in 63 Groupfor gaining the greatest number of points in the finals. For the best individualperformance in the championships and the best loser respectively, the A. J.Elvin Cup was presented to Cdt P. Bourne, No. 556 (Llanelly) Squadron,and the Roy Limbert Cup to his (senior lightweight) opponent, Cdt R. Stone,of No. 238 (Stoke-on-Trent) Squadron. Cadet D. Flack, of ftuildford, won theFlight Cup.
