AUGUST 26TH, 1948 a tribute to a reliable engine and a dependable maintenance service The Bristol Aeroplane Company has always adopted a conservative policy in regard to overhaul periods allowed the post-war series of " Bristol " Hercules 630 engines, which are operating in large numbers in Vickers Viking and " Bristol " Wayfarer and Freighter aircraft. A period of 500 hours was established as the standard overhaul period in May, 1947. Since then, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has granted Airwork Limited 600 hours between overhauls for " Bristol" Hercules engines on Vickers Viking aircraft maintained by Airwork Limited. Inspection of these engines has shown that this operating period is well within the range of the Hercules 630 series. •>*$*•• pfflffi reliable? ee&nomieal easily-maintained airvrafi THE BRI3TOL AEROPLANE COMPANY LIMITED ENGLAND
