SEPTEMBER 2ND, 1948 achiev BRISTOL The Farnborough picture of " Bristol" progress is, of necessity, incomplete. A small model of Type 167 is the only indication of other "Bristol" projects which dominate the British aviation scene this year. The Brabazon 1 air-liner, the vast new assembly hall which houses it, and the 2,750 yard runway from which it will first fly ... these are " Bristol" projects of importance in their probable influence on aeronautical trends of the future.
