Mach-Meter Reading ATTAINMENT of Mach 1.04 is^* mentioned by Kelvin-Kollsman, makers of the Mach-meter fitted to theD.H. 108 during its recent supersonic flight reported in Flight, September16th. This represents a speed of approximately 700 m.p.h. at a heightrange of 30,000-40,000 ft. The D.H. 108 also carried Kelvin-Kollsman sensitivealtimeter and A.S.I.
