ROTAX PROVES RELIABILITY IN "GOBLIN" TEST 462 starting cycles were completed during a 7-week test of the de Havilland " Goblin" jet engine under the worst possible fighter conditions. Even at the end of this prolonged ordeal, de Havilland were satisfied that without the slightest adjustment, the ' Goblin's ' performance would pass the R.A.F. acceptance test of a new engine." The " Goblin " is started by the Rotax C.3804 starter illustrated, operated from the Rotax starter control panel. The reliability of Rotax starting equipment (both for reciprocating and gas turbine engines) has been achieved by constant research and development in co-operation with the British aircraft industry.
