Three airwomen modelled the com- mittee's selections. Two caps, designed by D. Carlton, Ltd., are very similar, having hard felt crowns, high at the front and fitting snugly at the back, and the W.R.A.F. badge mounted on a wide black braid. The third, by Dolores (Hats), Ltd., is a softer model with a dented front above the badge. In making the final choice, durability of both shape and material under all weather conditions and regular hard wear has to be taken into consideration, and it has been arranged for the three types to be issued to W.R.A.F. per- sonnel at various stations for ."
