254 FLIGHT, 31 August 1951 THESE characteristically spirited impressions by Russell Adams are among the first air-to-air shots of Gloster's private-venture ground- attack Meteor, developed from the Mk 8 fighter-bomber. They show the newly introduced wing-tip fuel tanks and 24 rocket projectiles—one of numerous load-combinations possible with this remarkably adaptable single-seater. In a semi-mock-up state the P.V.
