It is to be produced both in the United States of America and in Great Britain in large quantities for the latest types of military air- craft. The Gloster Meteor aircraft with which the records were estab- lished on 31st August, 1951 is another product of the Hawker Siddeley Group. The installation of the two Sapphire engines was carried out by the Aircraft Division of Air Service Training Ltd., a third member of the group.
