"flight delivered" or "flyaway field empty tanks." To the purist this latter expression is a contradiction in terms, as to take off without fuel is impossible. Of course it really implies that the aircraft is in a fit condition to be flown from the airfield and it is the purchaser's respon sibility to supply the gas. We did hear of one unreliable character who sold an aircraft "flvaway field" and the buyer found it had no undercarriage. This no doubt should have been sold "as is." "as lying" or "as inspec ted" unless it was a flying boat which it wasn't.
