2 MAY 195a FLIGHT 25 CONTROLS CABIN TEMPERATURE CONTROLS Today, the requirement for a cabin air conditioning system exists in nearly every type of aircraft, and we have designed and supplied units ranging from simple thermostats to complete conditioning systems. The problems associated with thermal lags, which have long been a source of trouble in maintaining stable control, have been recognised and largely overcome, and controls of great flexibility have been developed to meet the stringent requirements of modern aircraft. Several different types of controller have been developed, new methods of signal amplification are being investigated and a large amount of data is being accumulated from rig tests and actual flying.
