All runways - and their approaches — are covered as far as the radar is concerned. The 424 has been ordered by the R.A.F. for landing jet aircraft and it is equally suitable for landing transports and airliners which it will pick up at 20-25 miles. It is simple to install and simple to operate and, most important, the cost is small enough to bring it within the budget of the smallest municipal airport. It is available in units for installation in permanent buildings; in an air transportable version which can be set up in a few hours; or as a completely self-contained mobile unit which can be working within minutes of driving onto an airfield. And it is now in quantity production for early delivery. 11 DECCA 424Radar U.R343 B DECCA RADAR LIMITED, 1-3 Brixton Road, London, S
