On the 17th March, 1954, an ejection in straight level flight was made from a Meteor 7 aircraft with the Martin-Baker Patent fully Automatic Ejection Seat. The speed 600 m.p.h., the height only 150 feet. One second after ejection, drogue developed holding seat steady and slowing it down.
