He joined the Electrical and Wireless School, Flowerdown, in 1927 and graduated from Cranwell. He served with Nos. 16 and 20 Sqns. and joined Maintenance Command H.Q- in 1941. Since then he has held technical appoint- ments, and has taken R.A.F. and Joint Services' Staff College courses.
