By the end of this year the Westonfactory will have produced 20 of these machines and will thereafterbe maintaining full production. On the left is a general view of theSycamore production hangar and, below it, a glimpse of Sycamoreassembly. The front and inter- mediate sections of fuselage arebeing joined by the tubular basket structure in which the Alvis Leonidesengine is placed. As for Westland activities, the third picture, show-ing Whirlwind production at Yeovil, is eloquent. To meet their rapidlyexpanding programme Westland Aircraft, Ltd., have considerablyextended and improved their works. A new block has been built to housethe technical and drawing offices, and a fine new machine shop hasbeen laid out. •*V'" ' .
