22 February 1957 A unique feature of the B.E.A. layout is the bar unit in the passenger vestibule. The full-sized emergency exit door (a principle dia- gram appears on page 242) is shown partly open. 245 Segmented mirrors add to the spacious effect of the two commodious rear toilets. Strip lighting, quilted bulkhead facings, copper anodising on the basin and surrounds, and pink and grey wall covering add an attrac- tive appearance to the functional design.
