HI English Summer Afternoon THE HELICOPTER GARDEN PARTY HPRIM lawns, picture hats, tea in the shade of spreading trees; it might have been-*• one of those June afternoons of mother's girlhood, but for die throb of a dozen diverse helicopters. This perfect day graced last Saturday's helicopter garden partyat lovely Dunsborough Park, Surrey, again placed at the disposal of the Helicopter Association by Mr. Charles Hughesdon. Visiting aircraft included three Dragonflies(G-ANLW from Westlands, Mr. Richard Fairey's -NZL, and WG662 from E.T.P.S.); a Widgeon; B.E.A.'s Whirlwind -NFH; two Sycamores (Bristol's -LSX and XG5O3 fromthe C.F.S.); Saro Skeeter -MTZ; a Hiller 12C from A.S.T.; Helicopter Services' Agusta- Bell 47G; and the new Agusta-Bell 47 J (see p. S23). Joy-riding rather than demonstrationswas the order of the day, but J. G. P. Morton entertained with -OUK, the Fairey Ultra- Light. Flying was under the control of Mr. W. A. R. Harris. Above are seen a lorry-landing by the Fairey Ultra-Light and an impression of the Westland Widgeon. In the groups below are, left to right: a Bristol contingent—Messrs. Howarth, Wilson, Strachan, Hanby and Harvey (managing director Peter Masefield and general service manager "Bill" Pegg were also present); Air Marshal Sir Hugh Walmsley, A.S.T. managing director, with S/L.
