••WELL ESTABLISHED AND WELL LIKED" PRESENTING the Air Estimates a few weeks ago the Secretary of State for Air described the Gloster Javelin all-weather fighter in the above teims. Similar sentiments were expressed by aircrew and gronndcrew daring the recent Exercise Vigilant, reported in "Flight" of May 31. In that exercise three Javelin squadrons participated— No*. 46, 141 and 23, the former with Javelin FAW.ls, the other two with FAW.4s. On the conclusion of "Vigilant" Gloster photographer Russell Adams secured these very impressive pictures of No. 46 Squadron (officer commanding, W/C H. E. White, DJf.C, A.F.C).
