FUEL CONTENTS EQUIPMENT o Smiths/Waymouth Fuel System (DIELECTRIC TYPE) The Smiths Waymouth Capaci- tance Fuel Gauge, adopted and widely used by the industry, is to be found in all types of military, civil, fixed and rotary wing aircraft. From the initial study of constructors gauging requirements and throughout its service life, a team of spe- cialists will ensure that the best possible standards of accuracy and reliability are obtained. o Smiths/Waymouth Type 1 Fuel System The Smiths Waymouth Type 1 Compensated Fuel Gauge has been introduced as an alter- native system in which a method of permitivity compensation allows the principle of capacitance gauging to be extended over a wider range of aircraft fuels without impairing its high order of accuracy.
