15 MAY 1959 FLIGHT 15 The Westminster is the largest single rotor turbine-powered helicopter in the West, with a fuselage 89ft. 3ins. long, and a 12ft rotor diameter. Powered by two Napier "Eland" shaft turbines, each of 3500 s.h.p., it can fly fully loaded on one engine. Cruising speed with a full load is 100 knots, and it has a maximum range of 180 n. miles. I Photograph by courtesy ef Westland Aircraft Ltd. Stop to think of what it takes to lift a jeep off the ground, and to keep the powerful Westminster in the air. Brains ... design. . . skill, bang-on manufacturing techniques, and perfect equipment. People in aviation come to Rist's because they need perfect electrical cables. The giants of the industry rely on Rist's for engine harness and cable for general purposes. Rist's inter-communication cables, supplied for Westland's helicopters, are vital to the smooth operation of all aircraft. RISTS WIRES * CABLES LOWER MILEHOUSE LANE, NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME, STAFFS.
