Ifto FLIGHT 4 SEPTEMBER 1959 BOLTON HANGAR DOORS The Bolton Patent Hangar Door is ofstreamlined appearance and is built to the high standards synonymous with the nameBOLTON. Some of the design features are shown in the diagram. 1 Leaves are constructed from analuminium alloy frame with 16's gauge aluminium alloy skin on each side thespace between which is filled with heat insulating material. 2 Outer aluminium alloy hinge stripperfectly machined to ensure smooth, easy operation. 3 Aluminium alloy end hinge stripsecuring last leaf to framework. 4 Back hinge strip forms joint and securesintermediate leaves to collapsible frame. All hinge sections run full height of dooreliminating draughts and inclement weather. 5 Vertical pickets formed from 2—2" x 1"R.S. channels. 6 Lattice Bars constructed from 2" x $"M.S. flats fitted with machined steel guide rollers. Lattice intersections fitted withself-lubricating bronze bushes. Pickets are fitted with self-levellingball-bearing pulleys running on bright steel runner rails in totally enclosed fabricatedbox-type top track. Spindles with rotating self-lubricating bronze bushes fitted tobottom of each picket and extend into fabricated bottom track of heavy steelsection. The doors are completely top hung and the weight is 8i lbs. per sq. foot.The Bolton Patent Hangar Door illustrated is 90 ft. wide x 30 ft. high and moves sofreely that a 1 h.p. motor opens it in 90 seconds.
