Trans-World Airlines, one of America's largest airlines, and Flying Tigers, the leading freight carriers in America, have signed contracts for the exclusive use of the Lodge RS35R in their OC7 and Super Constellation fleets which are powered by the Curtiss Wright Compound engine. These contracts were obtained in the face of : keen competition from the American sparking plug manufacturers. The RS35R plug gives reliability and stable performance under all engine operating conditions, and service of between 750 to 1,000 hours is obtained without removalfrom the engine. Such service is obtained by the use of platinum alloy electrodes and the Lodge exclusive"Sintox" alumina ceramic insulating material. Other famous airlines who use the Lodge RS35R intheir Curtiss Wright Compound engines are Air France, B.O.A.C., Lufthansa, Qantas Empire Airways, Sabena, South African Airways, Swissair, and Trans Canada Airlines.
