The Department of Aircraft Economics and Production becomes Production and Industrial Administra- tion; Aircraft Electrical Engineering becomes Electrical and Con- trol Engineering; and the Department of Aircraft Materials the Department of Materials. These changes are being introduced progressively during the current academic year, so that they become established by the beginning of next session, in October this year. As part of its diversification of activities since 1959, the College now offers advanced courses (in addition to the two-year specialist courses for aeronautical engineers) in the re-named departments, as follows: Production and Industrial Administration: economics and production, precision engineering, production technology, operational research and ergonomics; Electrical and Control Engineering: industrial control engineering and flight control: Materials: the physics and mechanics of structural materials, and welding technology. The departments also provide specialist instruction for students doing space technology and guided- missiles courses.
