Da vies (CB) ORDER OF THE BATH New Year Honours AWARDS TO AVIATION AND THE SERVICES New Year honours and awards to those involved in, or connected with, aviation have this year followed the usual pattern, recognizing good work wherever it has appeared, either in the managing director's office or lonely ROC post or at a flying training school. Amongst the civil awards, it is pleasing to note that two members of the staff of Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co have been honoured and that the chief test pilot of Martin-Baker Aircraft, Mr J. S. Fifield, has been made an OBE. Mention was made in last week's issue (page 2 of the Fleet Air Arm awards: a portrait of one of the recipients, Vice-Admiral C. L. G. Evans, is published opposite.
